AUTOBIOGRAPHY
My love of writing began before I can even remember, I have always been influenced by my mother who shares the same love for writing that I hold in my heart. I do remember when I was six and got angry that I couldn't spell when writing in my diary. When I was eight I wrote an entire movie script and thought it was the coolest thing in the entire world. At the age of eleven I won my first writing contest, and at age thirteen I was accepted into the Manhattan Beach Middle School Journalism Program.
My relationship with writing started simply with silly stories spewing from my wild imagination. I spent and still spend the majority of my time day dreaming, zoning out to another dimension. At a young age I realized I could write these thoughts down and make stories out of them. I would let my imagination run wild and I would let loose all my built up thoughts onto my little 5 inch by 7 inch Hannah Montana journal. If I decide to write a book in the future, it will defiantly be a creation of my imagination come to life, just hopefully on a normal journal this time.
My mother has always helped and encouraged me throughout my writing career, as she graduated with an English degree. She helped shape me as a writer and help me learn what types of writing I enjoy. My mother hasn't been my only writing supporter, I can remember always being excited to go to English class, and always wanting my teacher's feedback on my writings. Through school and at home writing, I learned I truly enjoy writing fiction. I always wanted to add my own edits to any nonfictional stories to make them as interesting as possible. Looking back at some of my old personal narratives they are completely over exaggerated.
My experiences as a writer and those who have encouraged my writing have made me who I am today. If I could, I would thank each and every person who has supported me in only the beginning as my journey as a writer. Since I currently cannot thank everyone for their support, I would like to give a special thanks to my 2013-2014 Journalism teacher for an utterly amazing year.
